Here at the Myers house, we have family night every Friday. It's a time for all of us to wind down and simply enjoy each other in some family fun! Here's a few ideas to help make your family night fun too!

1. Movie Night
I know movie night is nothing new to most families but I like to make our movie nights extra special by making these cute little snack caddies for the kids (and myself...lol). It's fun and makes the kids feel extra special. Everything you see here was bought at Dollar Tree (except the fruit and the movie, of course).
2. Let's go camping! (In the backyard, of course)
My kids LOVE this! We pitch a tent in the backyard, roast marshmallows, make s'mores, tell spooky stories, and play games. If you don't have a backyard, camp out in the living room! Your kids will enjoy it either way.
3. Game Night!
Bring out the board games! I know board games seem boring but, trust me, you're kids will totally get into it. Some of our favorite board games are Headbands, Scrabble, Uno, and Name 5.
4. Let's Make Dinner!
I'll admit, this was a sneaky way for me to get help in the kitchen...lol. All that aside, you can have so much fun just simply making something together. You can make an entire meal or just a tasty treat such as root beer floats or banana splits.
5. Arts and Crafts Night!
Who doesn't love arts and crafts?! This is a fun opportunity for your kids to create and use their imaginations. This can be something as simple as coloring or something more challenging like pottery. The point is to just have fun and enjoy your family!
6. Take a walk!
Believe it or not, my kids love it when we simply take a walk through the neighborhood. We'll often play games along the way, such as I Spy or Hop Scotch.
7. Puzzles!
I actually hated puzzles until I realized how much fun it was putting them together with family. Not only is it fun but it also gives us an opportunity to actually talk to our kids about what's going on in their lives. This is one of our favorite things to do.
8. Pajama Night!
After you tuck the kids in, surprise them with a late night pajama party! We usually order pizza and let our kids stay up as late as they want (watch movies or play video games).
9. Take a trip down memory lane!
Share some childhood pictures or videos with your kids. They'll get a kick out of learning that you too were once a kid! This is a great conversation starter!
10. Family Football!
Get outside for some family competition! This can be football, basketball, soccer, dodge ball...or doesn't have to involve a ball at all! Just get outside and run! The kids will love it! After playing outside, go inside, grab some snacks and watch a game together on television.
