Parenting Hack!!!

I'm a happy stay at home mom of four of the coolest kids in the world...however...they're lazy. I just realized recently that I spend most of my day picking up behind them and keeping the house clean. That's no way to live! I feel like a prisoner in my own home! Stuck in the house for days at a time with a vacuum cleaner in one hand and a bleach bottle in the other. I want to be free!!! Okay, maybe I'm being a little dramatic, LOL. But seriously, the main reason my husband and I decided I would stay home with the kids was so I could spend quality time with them and watch them grow and learn...and also, daycare bills are ridiculous these days.
I had finally had enough. I thought to myself, I have four children which means I have four house cleaners. I decided it was time to put them to work! But I had to be smart about it. My kids hate housework almost as much as I do. It had to be something in it for them. So I consulted my family adviser...Google...and my eyes were immediately opened. This is what I (I mean, Google...lol) came up with!
A New Way to Chore Chart!!!

Yes! I realized my kids had been given way too much for free. It was time for them to earn the things that they wanted. Not only will this help me out tremendously, but it will also teach them to work hard and be responsible. It's a win-win!
My kids will, literally, do anything for a piece of candy or anything with sugar sprinkled on top. So, I knew candy had to be involved. If you have older children, use money. I promise you, this chart works if you're stern and follow through with it. They can only have what's in the bag if they do chores...no freebies.
This idea was a definite "Parenting Hack" that I had to share because it has made all the difference in my house. Our house still isn't sparkling clean every second of the day but, at least, I have some helpers and we can all carry the load!
